This lovely 2 piece polonaise gown was created by Marna Jean of Shooting Star History. *
Made in a green jacquard weave fabric and accented with black velvet ribbon, the solisa Polonaise covers the skirt almost entirely. *
The green jacquard weave polonaise bodice has a 1 ¼" standup collar and is trimmed at the yoke, the cuffs and the bottom with double rows of black velvet ribbon and closes down the front with 25 antique silver buttons with a floral design.The bodice is lined to just below the waist and the sleeves are fully lined.
Some authentic touches that Marna Jean included in this gown are set back shoulder seams and fitted sleeves with a bend in the elbow.
The back of the polonaise bodice is fitted to the waist and cascades down to the large bustle with in magnificent folds and gathers.
The separate underskirt has a 1 ½" waistband that closes on the side with pleats in the back for fullness.
The Polonaise bodice falls almost full length, stopping a few inches short of reaching the bottom of the skirt.
